Karen Burgess, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Tuscaloosa. She is also the Director of Residency Affairs within the Department of Pediatrics, coordinating clinic and in-house assignments of residents on the Pediatric service. In addition, she serves as Director of the University Medical Center, Pediatric Clinic, coordinating appointment scheduling, nursing personnel and patient activity.

Dr. Burgess graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Birmingham, AL (1998) and completed her pediatric training at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in 2001. Board Certified in Pediatrics, her special interests include Pediatric Emergency Medicine and ADHD.
